ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:

Andrew Parkinson is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of XPD Consulting, a company specializing in in vitro drug testing and drug-drug interactions for pharmaceutical companies. He is also an adjunct professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Parkinson is the founder of XenoTech LLC, a contract service organization he started in 1994, where he served as CEO and then Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) until August, 2011. In 2008, XenoTech was acquired by Sekisui, a Japanese company.

Dr. Parkinson has extensive experience both as an entrepreneur and a scientist, having received a B.Sc. degree in medical biochemistry from the University of Surrey, England, and a Ph.D. degree in biological chemistry from the University of Guelph, Canada. He was on the faculty at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he was Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology and Associate Director of the Center of Environmental and Occupational Health, has served on the editorial board of several scientific journals, and is a council member of ISSX.

Light refreshments will be served. Garage parking is available to paying attendees at no charge with validation. Students with a valid university or college ID are welcome to attend at no charge; however, reservations are still requested.
